Hello & welcome to the new way to read, manage and analyse the news
Hello & welcome to the new way to read, manage and analyse the news. Tricklar has been designed to be more than just a news aggregator that simply puts a heap of feeds together without any purpose or structure. In today’s modern world, there is far too much noise coming from a variety of online sources which distracts from the primary purpose of becoming informed of the latest news and trends ASAP. There are too many biased viewpoints and hidden agenda’s concealed in the overwhelming amount of content available at the click of a button, and as such everything is read with reservations. Tricklar news seeks to overcome these obstacles by distinguishing the news from the noise and lets the words tell the story. This is accomplished by hand picking quality sources, giving them structure and organisation through locality and content, then linking them together through word association. The result, takes the user on a unique journey by giving the user the power to essentially choose their own adventure.
Tricklar news is a completely new way to get informed in a fun, interactive style where the user ultimately decides what they want to know more about and often be lead down a path they would normally not have travelled through the traditional media channels. In some way or another, news is often interconnected through a chain of events, however this connection is not always obvious. Tricklar news attempts to give the user the tools to start connecting the dots and get a greater understanding of how all the pieces fit together. These concepts really get to the heart of Tricklar’s purpose; information, perspectives and analysis. For us, it’s not just about collating stories, it’s about adding value and depth to a story through discovery and investigation.
The diagram below is a simplified method to view the Tricklar news site in order to understand and how best to navigate the comprehensive topic coverage. Put simply, there are two types of users that will use the site. Either the user knows what they are looking for or not. If the user knows, they can simply search for relevant words or phrases through the search function. Alternatively, the user may simply want to get informed of the latest news stories relative to region or category the same manner as you would read a newspaper. Either way, the end result will produce relevant content to the user which can then be further explored or discovered through the word association tool kit through both interactive and evolutionary word clouds respectively. Simply click on a tile to receive a brief overview of the story and if the user chooses, read the original source article for complete story.

This may include points of interest, featured events or words, news relationships, emerging trends and statistics, country and regional comparisons or news recaps, highlights and summaries. The point is not to simply re-print the news but take an analytical approached to news and its evolution in order to add more depth and value to a story. We are at the start of a journey, let’s see where the news takes us. Watch this space…
