It is calculated as a difference between the fast and slow moving averages. The historically popular is the difference between a securities 26-day and 12-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMA).

1) VMACD Line: (12-day EMA - 26-day EMA);
2) Signal Line: 9-day EMA of VMACD Line;
3) VMACD Histogram: VMACD Line - Signal Line;
